Panoramic Print of Leeds

A fantastic 18th century framed panoramic view of Leeds and Wakefield engraved by William Lodge (1648 - 1689). Complete with provenance the reverse with hand written letter detailing the history of the piece together with the original envelope.

First Published in 1715 for the Ducatus Leodiensis: Or, the Topography of the Ancient and Populous Town and Parish of Leedes, and Parts Adjacent in the West-Riding of the County of York. ... By Ralph Thoresby.

The letter on the reverse noting that the print was gifted to Mr Butler Ward September 14th 1905. Stored in the counting house of Behrens and Sons Bradford.
