A rare and important pair of carved limestone urns dating to the mid 19th century. Of typical classical shape with a wonderful decorative interlocking circle design around the bowl. The colour is fantastic with a beautiful weathered patina.
Provenance
Originally part of a series of twelve urns for the terrace gardens of Appleton Hall, Appleton Le Moors, Yorkshire. Final image shows them in situ.
