Leather Despatch Box

A beautiful 19th century tooled leather document or jewel box of outstanding quality. Constructed of wood covered in wonderful tooled leather with a brass carry handle, escutcheon and complete with the original key. The interior is lined in green velvet and the leather is tooled and gilt with the makers name Briggs of Piccadilly. The lid is embossed with the original owners initials.
